What are some easy nail designs I can do while painting my nails?

I am going to use bright red as the main color. And would like to use a pale pink and silver as the colors for the designs.

Any ideas? What are some easy nail designs I can do while painting my nails?
What about flowers? That's a classic look. Use a thin brush so you can get the best possible shape for the petals. Also, paint the base coat and let dry for at least half an hour before you begin designing the petals. I left a link to a site that was helpful to me. E-mail me if you want to discuss nail designs any further.

  • How are acrylic nails removed at nail salons?

I have acrylic nails and they are at a point where they need to either be refilled or removed. Last time I went to a nail place to have them removed some chinese guy just shoved another fake nail under the acrylic and literally ripped them off!!!!!!

Is this what they are supposed to do professionally? It wasn't pleasant. And I paid for someone to rip my nails off!!

I had tried removing them at home, soaking them in acetone but they never would come off. Any advice on the ones i have now?How are acrylic nails removed at nail salons?
at the one I go to the soak your fingers in Acetone(it's just like nail polish remover) for a while, then file them down, soak agian, file again and then they pop right off.

Trim them down real short and soak them in acetone. Then try to wiggle them loose a bit. Then soak again until they come off. That's the only thing I can thing of today besides popping them off with your teeth, which can be painfulHow are acrylic nails removed at nail salons?
You need to use ACETONE to get them off...

im a nail tech %26amp; we can only cut and drill gel nails off, they dont melt in acetone, and acrylic nails...... you need to soake a cotton ball in acetone wrap each cotton ball to each nail wrapped in foil and put under a lamp, the heat %26amp; acetone melts the acrylic, then file it off, do not rip them off and what he did wwas not professional, but it works dont complain when you goto the cheap asian nail places, if you want good nail care pay to goto a spa.. you get what you pay for dear!
When I got mine removed, the lady was simply lifting them with tweezers and cutting the gel piece by piece. It wasn't very pleasant so I suggest you try doing it at home.

Find a spot that is not strongly attached to the nail and simply work from there using tweezers. Of course, you should soak your hands in hot water beforehand.
The way to do it, Is to Soak your hand in Acetone for 10-20 minutes, then take a Orange wood stick, and push on the softened nail to get them to come off.

But if you have Gel nails, The only way to get them off is to buff 'em layer, by layer.
yes at salons they r supposed 2 soak your nails in a solution then lightly remove them and also instead u can get the Kiss Artificial Nail Remover solution. I have bought that before and it works really good.

Because my nail polish remover ran out after i did one hand now its odd haha .. Weelz yeah without alcahol and those stuff. How do I remove nail polish on my nails without using nail polish remover?
you can like peel them off. but i think that is bad. there is like no other way :$ trust me i have triedHow do I remove nail polish on my nails without using nail polish remover?
Unfortunately, nothing else will take off nail polish except the NPR!! Although paint thinner might but it's smells really bad!! Good luck and if you find something that does let me know!! Although you could just take a nail file and file off the color and then buff and clear coat so your nails don't look bad!!
Try soaking your hands in hot soapy water and then carefully try to peel off the polish.
this might sound really dimb but when i dont have any i put on more nail polish and wipe it off really quick it sounds stupid but it works for me
try rubbing alcohol.. it might work..
    Pick it off.

How can you get nail glue for artificial nails off after you've removed the fake nail?

I've bought some artificial nail remover and it doesn't work! The glue is still on my nail :/ what do you suggest? How can you get nail glue for artificial nails off after you've removed the fake nail?
Use straight acetone, from any pharmacy or shops like boots, asda etc.

I needed about 2 - 3 bottles. Pour them into a bowl + just soak your nails tips in them, It does take about an hour or 2 but it works.

♥How can you get nail glue for artificial nails off after you've removed the fake nail?
What you need to do, I used to have this problem all the time:), is gently rub the glue on your nails that's left behind with a soft emery board. Not the harsh side of an emery board though as that just scratches and shows once the glue is off. Then soak, for about 5 mins in nail varnish remover. It does work.
I would use a buffer/file to get it off. Try and get one that has the 4 different sides - 1. File

    2. Smooth

    3. Buff

    4. Shine

You can pick them up in supermarkets or Boots/Superdrug for a couple of pounds.

Use them in order and it should get the glue off. Also you could try soaking your nails in warm soapy water before hand.

    Hope this helps xxx
To avoid ruining your nails further, the best option is to file the glue off with a sort nail file. Once you have removed all glue use a smoothing file and make sure you apply a coat of nourishing nail polish (Rimmel do a good one)
Find a bottle of acetone and soak your nails in it for 5-10 minutes. If there's a lot, try filing the hardened glue before soaking.

Be careful you dont have any cuts on your fingers, it will sting like crazy!

    Hope this helps
i held a cotton pad soaked in nailpolish remover on my nail for like 5-10mins, there was still a lil bit on the nail and i used a gentle buffer to smooth it out x
soak your nails in nail polish remover then wash your hands couse acetone is very drying then put some lotion on to put the moisture of your hands back .
    hmm nail polish remover?!
use nail varnish remover and hold it on for 2-3 Min's
Soak ya fingers in vinegar for few mins then wipe fingers with a towel or kitchen roll. Works a treat. X
    use asintole
soak ur nails in nail varnish remover

it only thing that worked 4 me

    hope this helps huni x

You can keep acrylic nails on for two-three weeks before a refill. In the US it costs 25 to get a full set and 15 for refills. In Canada it's more costly.

What makes nail polish last longer on acrylic nails than on natural nails?

I don't wear tips but I do have acrylic on my nail bed. My friend on the other hand wears her nails natural. We've noticed my polish last longer than hers. Anyone know why? What makes nail polish last longer on acrylic nails than on natural nails?
The reason is actually pretty simple. Your nails take on harsher conditions when its in its natural state. Whether it be washing your hands or shampooing your hair, the foundation is not as durable as acrylic. Your nails have natural oils which part the nail lacquer from your nail bed and even when you dont sweat at all. When applying tips, you get a smooth yet porous surface of acrylic overlaying your nail, this makes this polish last longer because it doesnt come in contact with your nail bed. While the acrylic may lift from your nails, the polish will last up until your next fill-in.What makes nail polish last longer on acrylic nails than on natural nails?
I believe the answer to this is the simple fact that real nails have naturally occurring oils. Those oils encourage the nail enamel to come off.

Acrylic has no moisture at all and the nail color adheres to the acrylic without a problem.

I'm not a nail technician, but I'm thinking this is the right answer.
Natural nails bend and acrylics don't. When the polish is bent, it chips as it cannot bend with the nail.

    Nails!!!!!?

My nails are not weak but they just don't grow!!! All my friends have lovely long nails with white tips (they are not french manicures, just naturall and lovely). How do i grow them without to much hassle?

    thanksNails!!!!!?
For a more natural way to help your nails grow, you can use a moisturizing cuticle oil, and massage it in gently once or twice daily. The moisturizing helps your nails remain more flexible, and the gentle massage of the cuticle can stimulate nail growth. The best oil is a product called TIPS, available at askcosmetics.com or on various televised shopping channels.Nails!!!!!?

Make sure u don't bite on them, chem they or pull little pieces off that's one reason another way u could help them grow is by cutting them maybe every two weeks to help them grow nice and strong.

According to the previous answer, I agree that there's a solution to your problem, for example, my cousin used a product called Nail Harderner and she got long nails in three days, it's natural and I know you can find it on www.ysnails.com

Do you bite down on your nails?

If this is so, they make special nail polishes that taste so gross, you won't want to be within a foot of them.

    Are you getting your vitamins?

If you want faster growing nails, be sure that your diet is rich in Vitamins A, B-Complex, C, D, E and iron, calcium, zinc, sulfur, and the essential fatty acids.

For Vitamin A, look for fruits that are yellow and orange or veggies that are dark green.

For Vitamin C, chop up some green and red peppers

For Vitamin D, look to your dairy products.

For Vitamin E, a supplement is your best option.

For zinc, options include kidney beans, rice, chicken or cheese
    Vitamin E is great..

    The girl who said not to wear nail polish is wrong. Contrary to popular belief, nails do not ';breathe';

If you bit your nails as a child, it ends up damaging your nails/nail bed which will cause them to take longer to grow. ( I bit my nails constantly until I went to cosmetology school for nail technology)

Another great thing is Green Tea...I love Liptons Green tea, and because of all the great ingredients, it made my nails gro extemely fast!! It also made my hair shinier!

My best advice to make sure youre eating a balanced diet, not biting your nails, or picking at them, and you should be fine! Taking a daily multi-vitamin is also great!
Biting, chewing, and tearing fingernails can stunt there growth.
theres this nail pollish called neutra nail that makes your nails grow within a week to two weeks. you will see results in a week to two weeks. make sure to put it on every day.
First, make sure you are eating a healthy, well balanced diet. Sometimes weak nails can mean a deficiency. You may also want to start taking vitamin E .Second get you some of that nail polish that strengthens your nails. You can find it at any drug or department store.
Do you use a lot of nail polish? I used to and found my nails didn't grow too well when I did.
