How to get off artificial tips on nails?

I got my nails done about a week ago, and i'm not used to having long nails and they are annoying me. How do I get them off? The nail guy put plastic tips and than some powder and liquid on the rest of my nail. I had them done at a salon, it's not like those do it at home kits. But I want them off. I soaked them in hot water and nail polish remover with acetone in it. I tried pulling them. Help? How to get off artificial tips on nails?
This is a long process. First off, try cutting your nails down a little bit before you actually try to take the artificial nails off. Once you cut the excess length off, pour some acetone nail polish remover into a small glass bowl. If you have a reading light that can be moved, use that to heat the towel once you place your fingertips into the bowl of acetone. Soak your nails for about 20-30 minutes and use a nail clipper with the pointy ends to take off the acrylic. If the acrylic doesn't come off easily, soak your fingertips again. Repeat until the acrylic comes off and then do the other hand. How to get off artificial tips on nails?
you should go back to the shop to have him take them off. you can ruin your real nails if you try to take them off yourself and it could be pretty painful.
Go to a drug store and pick up some acrylic remover (that's what tips are, acrylic). It's usually a small, round container that you stick one finger in at a time that soaks the acrylic off. After that, get a good, sturdy nail file and file the rest of the acrylic off.

If you can't find the acrylic remover, go straight for the sturdy nail file and file em down. It takes a while, but be patient! If you pull, snap, pop, or bite them off, it'll hurt like heck, AND damage your real nails underneath.

Good luck! ;)
You could try to file them a little shorter. If they are still bothering you get a large glass bowl that you aren't going to use again fill the bottom of it with flat glass marbles- get them at a craft store or sometimes the dollar store. Fill the bowl a couple inches deep with straight acetone. Then soak and wiggle your fingers in the marbles. The acetone should eat the acrylic. It may take awhile but it will work without damaging your natural nails too much. I hope this works out for you.
use a regular nail polish remover with acetone in it. this will dissolve the 'gel' he put on top of the nail and you can easily pick them off.

I would recommend however, going back to the technician - they can remove them too.
well you usually just put them in water but you can also try bitting them off
visit the nail salon and ask them to clip your nails short
go back to the salon and have them removed .
you can try soaking them off in hot water . or you can go back to the nail salon that you got them done at. 鈾?*
Other than going to the salon, you need to get pure acetone. This is different then nail polish remover with acetone. You can get it at most stores, they keep it with the nail polish remover. Soak and wipe, soak and wipe. It will slowly work at the acrylic. It takes awhile, but it's the best way to do it at home. Also, if there is a Sally Beauty Supply where you live, they sell it, plus acrylic nail remover. They both work about the same. If this doesn't work, then the guy may have used dental acrylic. It's terrible on nails, but some places use it cause it's cheaper. If that's the case, you'll have to go have them removed.
