Which nails should I use to fix skirting boards to walls?

I need to fix skirting boards to walls that were replastered 2 months ago. Which type of nails should I use to prevent the plaster from cracking? If it's more a question of technique then please indicate best practice. Thanks.Which nails should I use to fix skirting boards to walls?
';No Nails'; , adhesive.Which nails should I use to fix skirting boards to walls?
Just use tacks there best ..
No nails, pink gripfill or no more nails, run 2 lines down the back and use bricks in bags to hold the skirting back until set.
lost head masonry nails, approximately 30-35mm long, depending on ow thick the skirting is.Then punch them below the surface and fill with gap filler,or similar, and paint.Or stain for a natural wood finish.good luck!!
What Lunchbox said if it's brick wall but if it's a stud wall you can use screws, just locate where the studs are. They'll be either 16'; or 24'; apart.
Use either pink gripfill or screw and plugs just use the correct size drill and 2 inch (50mm ) no 8 screws drill though the skirting board and then push the plug though the hole use the screw to set the plug behind the skirting then screw home fill the hole with filler .The use of pink grip fill is put dabs on the back at approx 3 in (75mm) gaps and push the board home you may have to brace this in place till the glue sets

You may wish to first knock off any plaster at the bottom of the wall that is proud of the rest just cut it back to remove any high spots
