What is in dark nail polish that makes your nails go yellow?

I notice that using dark nail polish makes my nails go yellow, but lighter ones don't. why is this? What is in dark nail polish that makes your nails go yellow?
I don't know for sure, I always thought it was the dye. I use bleach in warm soapy water to soak my nails, keeps them white. What is in dark nail polish that makes your nails go yellow?
It's the pigment in the polish. Use a good quality base coat to help prevent this. I use Creative Nail Design Sticky.
It has a red shade in it, and red turns the nail yellow. You absolutely must use a good base coat (I always use Orly Bonder rubberized base coat...I use two coats) before putting on black or dark blue/purple/green polish. Even high quality dark polishes will leave the stain.
